Book Review: The Future of God by Deepak Chopra

The Future of God by Deepak Chopra initially intrigued me with the title, followed by the overview. I consider myself to be a very spiritual, “non-religious” individual, but highly intrigued by world religions. I love reading books about metaphysics, religion, spirituality, etc. so this was right up my alley.
However, I had to force myself to get through this one.

Right off the bat, the book brings up The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins, a book claiming that “God does not exist and those that believe there is one are essentially delusional”. While I didn’t have a problem with an initial reference to said book, I had a problem when Chopra kept bringing it up and arguing against its claims. I prefer to become completely immersed in a book and not have to try to compare it to other written works.

I give this book a 6/10. I think Chopra has some great points throughout his book to think about, but as a whole I did not care for his dialogue.

I received this book from the Blogging for Books program in exchange for this review.
If you love reading ANY kind of book, I highly suggest checking this program out.
